Internal Bore Welding
New Waste Heat Boiler
Schelde Exotech was awarded a project with one of their clients to re-tube a waste heat boiler.
But this is not a simple re-tube job because not only the tube pitch is changed (so two new tube sheets are needed) but also the tube to tube sheet weld is changed from a standard weld to an internal bore weld.
This internal bore weld was developed in-house, tested and successfully used during the production of a new Waste Heat boiler for the same company in 2014.
